DigiCAL is a software that automatically determine the rotation axis of the scanned object, the focal distance and all geometrical data during X-ray acquisition that are necessary to the filtered retro projection reconstruction method.
It offers, at a less cost, an extremely high precision of these data
that largely improve the quality and the speed of the images reconstruction.
This software avoids the heavy cost of any alternative precise mechanical
system equipment for the rotary centering of the object.
DigiCAL is the base of the radiographic evolution to a mixed installation
allowing tomography or microtomography.
